Title: Can anyone ID this painting's artist?

Hello,
I am wondering if anyone can ID this painting's artist.  My brother and father had it out of the frame and could not find a signature. Any comments are appreciated. Thank You.

How did you acquire the painting ??  What is it painted on ??  Canvas, wood panel, canvas board ??  Can you take a close  up of front and back incuding one of the corners if on canvas !!
