Can anyone help me with info on these plates? I know that they were made by Knowles & Taylor but can find nothing else about them. Several people have asked me if they can have them and I want to know if I'd be giving away something of value.

The pattern name is "Ivory" and the maker is Knowles Taylor & Knowles. I saw one seller dating this pattern to the 1930's but I am not sure where they got that info.

Looks like Knowles Taylor & Knowles was in operation from the mid 1800's and went out of business in 1931. I see Chris Marshall hovering about, I bet he can fill you in on this! ;D

Lizzygirl The value on your plates are about $5.00 - $9.00 per dinner plate less for smaller bread & butter plates. :)

Thanks everyone for the help. I guess they were a good deal. Picked them up at the local thrift store, $2 for 5 of them. I'll just say no to all those requests for them, and put them away for my granddaughter.

I sold four of them dinner plates last year for £15.. They really were mass produced!
