I have a question about cards in a scrap book. Is there a way to remove them with out damage or is it best to just leave them on the paper. No Idea what type of glue was used.

Great graphics from what looks like the 30s or 40s. You could try a damp towel on the back and an iron but be careful that it is not wet. Just barely damp. If it is water based glue or paste it should soften up. Once again be careful. You might even try hold one over a steaming kettle. These would look grear framed for the upcoming Valentines day. I think they are great. On second look the one on the bottom left looks like it may be earlier than I said. Maybe 1905-1915. There may be a post mark on the other side.

Why remove them?

Valentines from the 1960's looked that way too. They had not changed much, but you should be able to date them by other items in the album, especially since it looks like there are also newspaper clippings in the album.

White glue can be softened with water,,damp cloth & blow dryer work pretty well !! Hide glue you might try the same thing but on paper it would be total luck if it came loose !! If the glue has started to crackle and deterioriate try wedging a credit card between the card and scrapbook and work it loose !! Good luck !!

Why remove them?
Two whole books maybe 100 to 150 pages of them. Kind of useless if they can't be seperated
Thanks everyone for the ideas

Did you intend to sell them ?? If so just sell the whole page !! Collectors and scrapbookers or whoever buys them can then remove the cards !! Likely you cannot remove them without some damage !!

Thanks
