Title: Wooden shoe with arm?

I picked this item up at a flea market the other day for $3 because i thought it looked neat and it had "1972" written on the bottom in pencil. I was wondering if anyone knows what it was used for and/or what the value might be? The arm has two holes at the top...almost like something should be hanging from it. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!

Post by: talesofthesevenseas on February 08, 2012, 07:13:49 PM: I also wanted to add that it could not be a stirrup (shoe is in the wrong position) and it is too sandal-like to be a Dutch shoe. Looking at the curve where your foot would go it looks very much like it was made to be decorative and not worn. But what the heck is that arm doing there?

Yep...I start every morning out with coffee, a banana, and a handfull of pills. :'(

Anyone here old enough to remember when bananas were hung by the stalk in the store? The storekeeper would grab his hooked banana knife and cut a bunch off for you.
