Title: Help me Identify the silver marks! Chinese?
Post by: monroefashion on February 16, 2012, 02:40:34 PM
Could anyone help me identify these silver marks?

They belong to a heavy, beautiful silver bowl.

There are importmarks (the ovale "catfoot") and some makers mark, and the figure to the right looks a bit like a fish??

Would be very grateful for any information!

Thanks

Malin

It looks like your piece is Swedish! Here is a page on identifying Swedish hallmarks: http://www.modernsilver.com/Swedishhallmarks.htm (http://www.modernsilver.com/Swedishhallmarks.htm)

I consider that the best reference on line for you that talesof gave you.  In addition, the date list for your piece is at

Hi everyone!

Thanks for Your information!
I forgot to tell you I had identified the swedish importmarks, but what does the other one means? CS and the "fish" to the right?
It looks similar to cum shing, chinese export marks? http://www.925-1000.com/chinex_marks.html

Anyone have an idea?

Thanks again!
