Found it in my attic. Looks really old, did a web search and ebay, found nothing.
Paper seems to have a serial number on it

These were used on liquor bottles until 1989. Here is a history that may help you. It is from Jack Daniels but the same laws would have applied to all distilled spirits. You bottle was made after prohibition from what I have read.

I believe that is to prove that taxes were paid and it was legal to sell !!

Well, Remember what they say about one mans trash being another mans treasure !! Clean it up and try it on ebay !! If it brings $5.00,, thats 5 more than you had before !! Someone might want it just for sentimental reasons,, which is always better than what its actually worth !!

On my Jim Beam bottle have it going for 10 bucks on ebay only because it has all its original labels and it is in great condition, sorry that bottle is not worth anything.
