Title: Did department stores used to sell Murano Glass?

I'm still tracking a bowl. Now my question is-where did you used to buy Murano glass in the 60's & 70's? Could you get it at department stores, like Kmart?

Might want to check out some Murano Glass forums where the "die-hard" Murano collectors can help. 

However, I DO NOT BELIEVE it was sold by K Mart!  I do believe it was sold by gifts stores, finer stores.  However, maybe someone else will jump in.

I think KC is correct !! Only better stores would have carried it !!

If I remember correctly it was also sold in some very fine Jewelry stores!!

I have a bowl with a Murano sticker along with a Gumps Department store price tag.

I have never heard of it either !! I used to shop at Woolworths and I know they didn`t carry it !!

I bought the bowl at an antique show in Springfield , MO...but I don't believe Gumps is your average dimestore. :D

Gumps was/is a high end store!!!   Not a K Mart!  :)
