Title: Is this plate really 19th century?

I have these three plates that I thought were modern junk. I know my parents have one or more just like this with a similair scene. The plates were made for hanging they have two hole thru the bottom. There are no makers mark so I used the artist signature to look one up. I found an online add for one of the plates I have and they claim it is 19th century. I still think its modern. What do you think?

This one is signed K Kaga. The other two have different signatures. The one I have is the same image as the one they had for sale but you can deffinately see differences in the scene and the signature so they were both hand painted.

Looked at one site after finding nothing using that name,, and it seems that Kaga is an art form rather than a name !! The site had a plate with a geisha painted from Dept K, Kaga !!  Although I couldn`t see it to tell if it was marked similarly !!  Maybe tomorrow computer will be more cooperative !!  What are the other names ??

One is signed Nina and the other one I'm not sure what it says. Kind of looks like Jte.

Keep hitting the wrong darn key !! Must be getting tired !!  I found one site that was a school and had Kaga, Kutani and something else I forgot !!  Those names don`t sound Japanese or oriental of any type !! I think your plate is mid 1900`s and more likely around 1970 !!  There was a huge surge in oriental decorating then and these things were everywhere !! Not many in the 1800`s were meant to  hang on the wall !!

Exactly what I was thinking but then I found that ad. So I figured I better check here before I put them in a yard sale. Thanks again Mart!!

I'm thinking it is a newer plate as Mart mentions.  

K Kaga may stand for 'Kutani (Nine Valleys) Province of Kaga'......as found in Gotheberg under the heading of the same, all of the examples showing Oriental marks. But there is mention in the information at the beginning of the page under 'Marks on Kutani Porcelain' of markings in Romaji (Romanized alphabet)

And don`t forget that some people do call 1900`s 19th century !! They are a bit behind !!

I was wondering that too but then I visited their site again.

Their statement was "quality period American antiques" didn`t say Japanese imports !!
