I found a number of lighters on ebay that were lucky strike lighters. selling between 50-300 bucks. None were like this one though, and none seemed to be in this good of condition.
there is a tiny chip in the paint, like a car paint type ding on the front, tiny. Rest of the lighter is mint condition, i don't think it was ever used.
has original plastic display case for it also.
got it at a garage sale!
last picture is next to a normal sized Bic lighter for size comparison

Try the pic again !! It didn`t work !!

Plastic case would indicate much more modern. It's a cool lighter for sure though! I bet some rockabilly kid would give you $20 for it. I'm sure it's worth $10-$15 on eBay. Is the lighter all metal or is there signs of plastic as well? Any manufacturer name? From the look of the pictures, Adam's right. It's more or less just a novelty. But hey, those can pay off sometimes. I just bought an old McDonald's ashtray at a garage sale for about ten cents and it should fetch about $20.

Its a propane lighter isn`t it ??

The "plastic case" I am sure they are referring to is the heavy plastic packaging that it is in. This has only been used in the past 20+ years in volume.

yeah, it's a real lighter. doesn't look like just a novelty thing - seems to have all the components of a working lighter

Novelty doesn't mean that it doesn't work. It's most likely a Korean made lighter for the mass market like tobacco shops and swap meets. I've got a nice Zippo with an image of Elvis during the comeback show on it. It's a novelty piece even if it is a working lighter. I doubt that it's old, but it should have a bit of value.
