I don`t think I have ever seen those !! Neat !! I use linemans pliers !! I have to repair ours occassionally !! Its illegal and a jail (or worse ) offense to carry those in your pocket in Texas !!

Looks more like a hog-ring(for rebar)/ring-clamp plier tool than any fencing plier I've ever used , but there you go .... I lernt sumptin' new !

I think parallel jaw pliers like that are designed for electrical wire pulling. They are made with an open style throat, so the wire can pass back through the handles. The parallel style jaws provide a much better grip on the wire.

Thats sure a new one on me !! Thought they looked a little lightweight for barbed wire !!

My husband thought it had to do with shoemaking, but I really was even paying attention when I thought it was a plier. It did the job, lol ;D
