Title: Mystery antique shoe brush.
Post by: 1nelsonland on April 09, 2012, 04:08:11 AM
I have a very old shoe or lint brush.  It measures 7" x 2"and has 8 rows of bristles. The only thing that's written on it is "made in west Germany". Any ideas on how i can find out what it is and what it might be worth?

The term "Made in West Germany" would have been used between 1949 to 1990.

Evidently it was not used or was used very little !! No signs of wear, no patina on the wood or could have been made quite late in those years !!

Thanks so much for your help so far.  Well I know it was my grandfathers and could be from around the WWII era.  It dose not look like it has ever been used but it does smell "old" musty maybe.
