Title: Vase with Raised Mark Stamped

Hi all! I came across a vase in my garage that I bought back in the 80's with this marking on it. I cannot find any information about it. Have any you of you ever seen one of the these? I can't even tell what language it is.....

 I am  trying to figure if its a japanese seal mark or chop mark or if it is some type of logo !!  Can you take a pic of the other side of the vase too ??  It is not a typical oriental style !!
