I found a louis vuitton trunk. But not with the tipic LV I thinks this more old. But I dont know.

One would have to assume that your trunk predates the use of the famous monogram covering that came into use around 1896.

That's great that the serial number is still legible! I tried to find a site to look up trunk serial numbers but I am only finding ones for purses. I'll keep trying! If I can't find one, I am sure that the company would tell you a date of manufacture if you called or emailed them.

Oh, and as far as I can see, the trunks with their famous logo all over them tend to sell for more than the plain ones. But I'm sure yours still has a very good value! I'll go scour ebay for examples.

Here are some comparable ones that have sold. Ones that have the prices in RED did not sell. I just now noticed the large damage on the top of yours. That's going to have a fairly big impact on value but some of the ones listed also have damage.
