Title: Reed & Barton, Chippendale
Post by: greenacres on April 19, 2012, 03:16:06 PM
I was at the thrift shop today. I bought this silver tray for $5.00. When I picked it up I kne right away it was a good piece of silver because it was heavy, so I flipped it over. That's when I saw The Reed & Barton seal. What should I ask for this. The prices are all over the place on ebay.

I'm afraid that heavy means silverplate, not more silver. But you did quite well on your $5 investment. Here's your tray, it is not old, but it is nice, it retails for $90 or $100 new depending on if you have the 12" or 14"! Good job Greenacres!

Thanks! I'm going to price it low. Whatever I get is found money.
