This is a Ceramic Mack Bulldog Ashtray I purchased yesterday from the thrift store and once again I can't find another one like it through internet searches. The Mack Bulldog is a mold ceramic which is glazed and it's about 8 inches long, 4 1/2 inches tall and about 4 1/2 inches wide.
The glaze has crazing in it and there is a stamp or impression on the bottom which was filled with paint and glaze and I can't make it out. It looks like some letters then the number 1905 which could be a mold number or the date. There also appears to be a "C" with a circle around it for a copyright mark.
Can anyone make out what it says? I have a zoom in color enhanced image of it below. Also, does anyone know the maker, age or vintage and a ball park value on this Mack Bulldog?
Thanks!
Kevin

Worthpoint has had them !! Said it was made at a California pottery so 1905 is likely mold number !!

Thanks mart! The tip on the company name helped me track it down. It's a Mid-Century Ashtray (Around 1950's) by Marston California Pottery.

Bull dogs were brought into high popularity from the 1930's to 1950's in the US. I have been researching bulldog items for a while. They were also popular in England.
Still collectible but not high dollar unless you have a very unique item.
