Title: pottery marks

does anyone know the maker of this- I have tried to figure out the initials for some time and now I need help

Well, I don`t think its a factory mark but rather that of an individual potter,, probably a hobbyist !!  Its rather uneven and looks like the potter, whoever it is, was in the learning process !!  Items like this are found quite often !!
