Hi all
I found this night stand in a charity shop and bought it to strip down and restain, but a friend of mine reckons it might be antique. I thought maybe 40's/50's but not much older than that, which would be vintage I guess? It appears to be covered in a very bad dark wood stain, and the back panel looks like really badly cut plyboard so someone has had a go at tarting it up at some point.
I have idenitified a makers mark on the back of the brassware as 'C&A' for 'Crofts and Assinder' and have emailed them with the serial number...who knows maybe they can give me a rough date on that, but any other tips would be very much appreciated!
Here are some pics...

From what I can see and the thin stamped hardware, I think you are about right with the 40 to early 50`s date !! Its worth restoring !! Nice little stand !!
