cloisonne??? Not sure of the date. No markings. What are your thoughts.

My thoughts are that these birds are about 3 Inches in Length, 2 Inches in Height, weigh about 4 Ounces each and are cloisonne *If* the base metal is brass, the seam between the colored ceramic is brass and possibly where they seam together (The Lid) is a brass seam. It's hard to tell from the photos, for that matter it's hard to tell sometimes if you're holding them and looking at them.
Oh yea, they do make a nice little paper weight or trinket/stash box!

They are brass. Do you know an approx. value. I'll look on ebay and see what's up there, too.

Do you think this is accurate? http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p5197.m570.l1311&_nkw=cloisonne&_sacat=See-All-Categories
Cloisenne seems to be very collectible right now. Everything seems to be bid on. I don't know enough about prices, so I'll have to watch the bidding.

Just do a search on ebay for "cloisonne bird trinket box" there are a few there. If it's vintage or antique you may get a good price for the pair.

Narrow your search down and only search the completed items to look for what they sold for.
