Title: What is the difference between painted on markings and sticker markings?
Post by: yellowrose84 on May 23, 2012, 02:04:14 PM
http://www.ebay.com/itm/GOEBEL-OWL-FIGURINE-BANK-W-GERMANY-GREAT-COND-/200399999026?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2ea8c55032

Please scroll down and look at the close up pictures the last pic is of the mark of Goebel W. Germany label and it is a sticker.

I have the exact same Goebel bank but my marking on the bottom is painted on and not a sticker. What is the difference between a sticker and having the label painted?

Thank you for taking the time to read this and have a good day.

Difference is likely what year it was produced !!  Sticker is probably a later figurine !!
