Any Ideas. Thought it was a lamp finial but it looks to be silver plated.

I am guessing that this may be the filial piece from the top of a Victorian era parlor stove.

Is it real heavy for it's size?  Would go looking at what Talesof suggested!

If not...and it was silver plated (which is worn) they did make very ornate tops for perfume!!!!

I would agree with Sapphire on this. Sure looks like the handle for a castor set to me.

Thanks for the help. I think you nailed it. Was thinking it was a handle of some kind because the top was open. Love this forums and thanks again
