Hey Folks,
I've got this picture frame that's got some floral design at the top and the remaining sides are covered in various patterns; see photos below.
The top portion also has what appears to be a sheath of arrows and perhaps a torch, in addition to a wreath; see photos below.

Also! There are some stamps on the back (pictured below). I am certain that the first three characters are "920" but after that I'm baffled. I'm pretty confident the second to last character is an ampersand ("&"). DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY CLUE WHAT ANY OF THIS MAY MEAN????

Any information or ideas would be appreciated. Also looking to determine a possible value on the frame.
Thanks!

No expert here, but 925 indicates sterling silver so I'm assuming 920 would be silver but of a slightly lower grade than sterling, not as low as coin silver though. I've cropped and played with your pic trying to get a clearer shot in hopes that someone more familiar with silver marks can pick up from here.

Usually the mark for silver isn't separated like this but a number all together!
Could still use a better pic.

I think 920 is the English standard , the stamps look like a unique way of lettering initials, sort of scroll like !! Looks like LB & S !! Darn,, just thought of something !! Should have looked for last name starting with a B !! The other two stamps to the left might be a lion ?? For Sterling ?? And date letter ?? I cant see them well enough to tell what they are !!
-
That's funny because i thought the second letter from the right was this this symbol "&"
-
It is Greenacres !! LB in one block ( & ) S or could be CS in last block !!

I wonder if it's enough info to go to the silver markings website?

http://www.925-1000.com/ dodobirds you can try that website. It could be a Hana Psuedo Mark. I'll check the French marks now.

I think KC is right. It's silverplated. Look up H. Perry and sons it's almost identical.

Awesome! Thanks so much with the help everyone. I really appreciate it. From what I've found, it looks similar to H. Perry and Company (see http://www.925-1000.com/silverplate_P.html). Also, the first Old English-looking letter appears similar to the 1760 character found here http://www.silvercollection.it/englishsilverhallmarks.html suggesting that it may be English in origin. But I don't see a sterling lion anywhere so I'm really not sure. I'm thinking about putting a $125 price tag on it. Any additional thoughts on the frame's origin and/or possible prices???? Thanks again everybody!!
