Im wondering if this is German made? I tried finding something like it on ebay. Am I even calling it the right thing?
-
Looks like a pressed tin childs play set or at least part of one !!
-
Yes , do you think the 40's?
-
If I had to guess I would say early 40`s and likely not made in USA !! You didn`t say what size they were but I am assuming they are smaller than normal !!
-
The dish is 3 1/2 in. wide and the teapot is 2in by 2 in. tall. It's bigger than the average doll set.
-
Trying to make out the figures...are they the three bears?
-
I would call it a child's tea set and those look like the three bears to me!
-
I found a similar set with the three little kittens who lost their mittens, three plates selling for $16: =tags&ga_search_query=kitten+tea+set&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery]http://www.etsy.com/listing/100247190/set-of-3-vintage-tin-tea-set-plates-3?ref=sr_gallery_18&ga_includes[]=tags&ga_search_query=kitten+tea+set&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery (http://www.etsy.com/listing/100247190/set-of-3-vintage-tin-tea-set-plates-3?ref=sr_gallery_18&ga_includes[)

I first thought the three bears too but the more I looked,, the more they looked like mice !!
-
It's Cinderella, Three Bears, and Little Red Riding Hood on the plate and only the Three Bears on the pot.
-
They look like aluminum to me from the pic but most likely pot metal.
These were very popular in the 1950' and were made in Germany, Japan, USA, etc.
They are still VERY popular and sell well if you have a complete set.
Try searching childrens metal doy dishes and you will find quite a bit. They even sell well on Ebay!
