This was my grandfather's tug boat or ship whistle. They don't seem to be that valuable, but I can't seem to find info.

Yours looks like a bullet style that I saw while growing up. What is the tip made of?

You're welcome. I find the site very interesting and I am not a die-hard whistle person.
Didn't know there were so many kinds till I started searching years back. This is one of the best to show many examples.
