Hello. I have a signed piece of wood art. It is a landscape. It came in a Tarsia Heimschmuck frame. Can anybody read the signature or know anything about wood art?

This is the back. There is something in pencil but I cannot make out what it says.

It has three letters and then the number 380 on the back in pencil.

From the subject matter, name on the frame, and logo I'll take a stab and say it's Scandanavian.

The signature appears to be a symbol of some sort !! Could be the artists initials in some form !! Tried looking up the name on the frame and found nothing which is not surprising !! Not even sure if its a proper name,, !! I too think it is from the Scandanavian countries !! However the artist is likely self taught and not a professional !! Picture looks more cartoon like than painted as one who has to make a living this way would do the same scene !! A person who needs to make money with art would use his proper name !! That is his best advertising so you want people to know who you are !! I would call this a folk art style painting,, likely from a person that paints for his own pleasure, a hobbyist, and from around mid 1900`s !! I like it myself !! Its a unique piece !!

*Update* I contacted an appraiser on the "Antique Roadshow" and he said he didn't know the artist but he appraised it at $70.00-$80.00! Not bad since I found it at Goodwill for $3.99!!!

Excellent !! I would have guessed slightly less than that but for a $3.99 investment,,,not bad at all !!

Folk art would be right. It almost has a paint-by-numbers look to it.
I'd say it's a bargain buy at that price.
