Title: Hummel Value on "Ring Around The Rosie"-not perfect shape!
Post by: kathyp1039 on July 01, 2012, 09:44:20 AM: I know, I know if its broken its not worth anything! BUT according to my book for a rare one like this it says even in less than perfect shape could fetch you almost as much as in mint condition. What do you think? Its already bid up well past what I paid-how far do you think people would go for something NOT mint? Its a TMK3 so its pretty darn old too. the only flaw at all is the chip off the scarf in the second picture.

I just aquired 3 hummels in a storage auction and was thinking that they are valued pretty low now due to the economy and no one collecting anymore. Maybe I am wrong??? And let me tell you everyone has told me the market is not great and no one is getting what they used -but i've found with the right piece its making me some nice profit-but ONLY when you get them cheap enough. Which ones do you have if you don't mind me asking?

Post by: mart on July 01, 2012, 06:53:51 PM: As long as you remember,, not all will bring top prices !! And yes It has to be a rare one for a flaw to be accepted without a lower price !! Look at the listings many don`t even get bids !! Let us know what the ending price is !!
