I am not seeing my very first post showing yet - hopefully it will as that explains the quest for information about this furniture and why it looks so dirty LOL The first post just says Furniture
I believe this to be some type of Bureau or Buffet - it is extremely heavy and also painted several times.
It has 2 drawers with 4 divided sections in each and 2 doors below that open to two shelves.
It measures 49" tall with back shelf, 54" wide and 20" deep. Oh and it is 39 1/2" tall without the shelf which does detach.
Again looking for possible style, time frame, value etc. I do have a few extra pics that I can't post with this.
This thing is solid.

Too bad about the paint; there's probably some nice wood (walnut?) under there.
I'd call it a server or a buffet. Probably 1950s.

This is one piece I had already decided I was keeping. It is big and it is heavy but I just love it so will probably strip it down.
I am going to post a pic of the inside and also it isn't real clear in the first pic but there is a locked front. Not sure why I thought it was a little older than the 50's but I have to remember that is still vintage - like me LOL

Maybe 1940s, hows that? ;)
You can tell it's good quality because of the hardwood shelves, weight, and construction. Not my style at all, but I'm glad you like it. That's what it's all about.
