Title: Chifferobe
Post by: kidden6968 on July 13, 2012, 07:47:38 PM
This is a beautiful piece and thinking it is more vintage than anything although the back looks old.  It is cedar inside the closet.  There are 4 drawers on the side of closet and then 1 bottom drawer.  There are 2 handles missing.  It measures 63" h, 38" w and 21" deep.  The only marking is on the back.   JOB 691 G55 Robe.

Thanks again for any info.

Nice chiffarobe, waterfall style, 1930`s, !! No telling who made it,, almost every mfr had a version of this style !! Pretty common, but usually made well !!

Thanks Mart!!!  Yes it is solid and well made.  Even having a style and a decade gives me enough to research!!!  Thanks again!!

And to think that it took the place of the the oversized walk-in closets that everyone demands nowadays!
My Wife couldn't fit her shoes in that piece. :-*

People didn't feel it was necessary to have so many shoes back then... ;)
