Title: Identifying antique bowl

I recently acquired a an antique bowl and I am trying to determine it's history.

 :o It also has 1786/x on the bottom. I am not sure if this is the date or the number created, style. Does anyone have any idea who it belongs to, or what these numbers may mean? TIA TOm :D

:o THE MARKS ARE GERMAN OR BRITISH. THE DATE IS LIKELY TO BE CORRECT. BUT  THE X COULD INDICATE A REJECT. :o
