Hello :D
Whilst helping my mother clear out some of her years of collecting we came across a ceramic lamp(electric) she had received from an aunts passing when she was younger, along with two very special perfectly working antique clocks, however I am having trouble researching the hallmark, and we don't know a lot about the lamps history. If anybody could suggest some good sources of research or perhaps r recognizes the hallmaftp://rk it would be greatly appreciated!!!

Can you feel the mark on bottom ?? Does it feel like it is raised above the glaze?? The red marks on the right may be the actual mark !! Looks Japanese but difficult to tell for sure !!

I agree, mart. I checked shields with crowns, crowns, shields, and then I went further and couldn't find it. Are the intials K. F. E. ? Or is it K.G. F. E. ?

I couldn`t make any of it out !!

Hi there,
Thanks so much for your input and questions! Ok, so I also had searched shields, crowns and even crowns and oval hallmarks with no avail, so I posted here to see if could help me find a different avenue.
I agree that the red writing is significant! Although even with my magnifying glass I can't decided if it is English or perhaps Japanese or Chinese? I have tried to enhance a photo to see if you can't help me with a definite answer maybe!lol!
Also Marty I can't say that the markings are raised to the touch, although they do look slightly raised on close inspection perhaps ???
I hope you can help me and Thank you.

If you could try your macro setting on the camera so we can see details and flip it upright it would help !!
