Title: Blue Ridge Bowl
Post by: kidden6968 on July 22, 2012, 05:19:31 PM
I believe this would be a vegetable bowl perhaps?  Bowl is 9" diameter and base of bowl is 4 1/2".  It is 2 1/4" tall.

Marking on bottom seems pretty clear and there are two chips on the underside of the rim I tried to highlight.

The only other thing that I see is that some of the green painted rim seems worn off in spots but then again it wouldn't be if it was painted underglaze correct?

I did find this pattern on Ebay and they listed it as Garden Lane late 30's and the soup bowl sold for $20.  Seems to be a few pieces but nothing marked over $20 or so that I saw.

Would love to hear any feedback.

Nice little bowl even with the chips and I agree its a vegetable bowl !! I kind of like the pattern myself !!  This stuff usually sells pretty well unless it has taken a downturn lately !!

Likely the mold number or pattern !!  Sometimes the piece was numbered, smaller bowl or plate would have a different number !!
