Title: Can anyone identify this thing for me?
Post by: ssanman12 on July 30, 2012, 12:30:07 PM
??? ??? ??? Got no clue on the maker of this  item. It is about 15 inches high with the handle. I find it appealing for some reason. Trying to get identification and a value. Who can help me?

Thanks,
Steve

I would try researching "gouda" pottery.

You can check the patterns here although Gouda was not a mass produced pottery !! More one of a kind and marked like yours with the decorators initials or mark and year,, not by the pottery !!  Much is unknown about early Gouda !! Your vase is much calmer than most and with fewer colors !! Would take someone more experienced than me to verify it !!  Check out the fakes and copy cats at the site I gave you !! The collection there is pretty extensive and you can get an idea about the patterns they used !!
