I've had 1 for 29 years and your the first person that has seen 1. mine is in a walnut cabinet and lionel is written in gold on the black machine. have you found anything about them? I've been searching for awhile and found only your post.

where would i post the pictures? i have them on photobucket now and my desktop. should i just link the photobucket? I can't get the pics posted. they are at photobucket album for arow900
I keep getting errors
-
When you post your reply just click "additional options"..then click browse.which will take you to your desktop...simples
-
if you get an error message may be that the pics are too big for this site,, resize them !! i think 2000kb is the size required but some use slightly larger images !!
-
Also, if a single pic is too big you may need to post them one at a time - in other words one per reply.
-
I have to convert the pics to another format . I'll post them as soon as I can . If anyone wants to see them they are on photobucket and I think you can see them if they are open to the public , not sure though. My user name there is the same ......arow900...... .

The interesting point in this is that many renowned companies, if they produced mechanical items, would produce other items that would be similarly machined. Lionel Trains isn't one that produced sewing machines, but they have had to deflect any connection with manufacturers of them, liquor, etc. Many capitalized on the name!
-
I would be surprised if it isn't somehow tied to Lionel J. Coulombe - if you google him - he held LOTS of patents for sewing machine parts for most of the major sewing machine companies! (His name pops up with Singer alot!)

on the plate it states........paten ted oct. 25 , 1927

There you have it....it is a White Sewing Machine, Model Style is a Lionel!!!!
In 1926 they began supplying Sears with sewing machines...this could possible be a Sears line.
Also, it wasn't uncommon for companies to make them for other companies...but I believe this was a sales/marketing style.
I would recommend that you contact a reputable sewing machine parts replacement company to see if they carry parts for this model...they may be able to give you more information on it!!!
