Ok I have these two pins, buttons - well not really sure what I have ::) In any case, I have not tried cleaning them yet so please excuse the dusty appearance on the backs. I would think military but have no idea. Then I thought brass but almost has a copper tone but worn off on the back. Any help would be appreciated as always.
They are 1.5 inch diameter and the screw things on the back are 1/2" long. I can't imagine these going on clothing of any type.

Thanks Greenacres but those look definitely like buttons. These have the screws and pin in them and I have no clue what they are, what they are made of, how old they might be, use or value if any.
On the plus side I am getting better at researching china and porcelain ;D

You have U.S. Army enlisted soldier's "Hat Badges". They attach through the front of the visored dress hat.

Yupp !!! Hat pins !! Well, if you are in the military,, they had better shine !! But in your case,, stick with the soft cloth and dish soap !!

Look at the row of pics here,, Yours is far right !! There have been several different styles I think !! As far as what they are made of,, could be brass with a high copper content !! When My hubby was in it was mostly yellow brass !! But that was at the end of WWII !! He retired early 70`s !! These may have been later style !!
