Can anyone tell I was going through more items in storage today? LOL
I love researching items and sometimes just need some help figuring out what to even call something 8)
Anyway this 6 foot long folding table is pretty interesting. It has a 6' ruler that is held by two metal brackets if you want it on the table. Table is 25" wide with the ruler and 22" without. It is 33" high. When all folded up it is 11" wide and 3 1/2" deep.
I think it is pretty neat and wondering what to call it and possibly how old. Maybe it is newer than it looks :-)
Thanks everyone!!!

I think its more than likely for quilting !!, 50`s or 60`s !!
-
Still searching - thanks Mart!!!

Can't find anything close to this - sometimes I know I am just not putting the right words into the search. In any case, would anyone have a suggestion as to how much to ask - going to list on craigslist. Thinking $20?
-
Go $30. And describe it as you did here !! Quilters should love it !!
-
Thanks Mart - will let you know 8)

Looking at the underside of this worktable,, what is the extra wood on the right side !! Could that be a quilting frame ?? Just looks like two wood pieces as long as the table !!
-
Oh that's blurry enlarged - oh boy. No that is how the ruler locks in for folding. The ruler is a separate piece that can either sit on two metal brackets when table is open or not - brackets slide in and out of either side so it can be used either way. It get locked in with two metal clip things for storage.

Oh !!! Just wondered !!

Ok so here's what I have since found out. I listed on Craigslist for $40 OBO giving myself more wiggle room LOL and tonight I get a message from someone who says that she has been quilting for years and had never seen a quilting table like this but she has seen a wallpaper hanging table. Sure enough I google and that appears to be just what I have. Now mine is many years newer than the ones I found but still - pretty cool.
There is one on ebay listed at $550 - insane if you ask me but also much older and then i found one that sold in an Antique shop in Vermont for $350 - also much older.
Even though this is definitely not antique - wondering if I should reconsider the price a little bit? What does anyone think?

Yes !! If thats what it is and it seems to be !! I did wonder why it was so narrow for a quilting table But I thought about the size of the squares !! Did the ones listed sell at that price or was that the starting price ?? Age would have nothing to do with using ability !! Don`t know anyone that would collect something like that !! So,, raise that price a bit !!

Raise the price a bit....see if there's any interest.

The one at Branford Antiques sold for $325 - the one listed on Ebay has not sold nor do I think it will. I did see on another page someone that purchased one for about $100 and repurposed it and it made a really nice entry area table I think with a plant on it. Much more rustic looking than this though. Think I will go up a little. :o

We wish you the best!

Thanks ;D We'll see but going up a little at least means I can still come down a little more - will let everyone know. Having a big sale tomorrow so we'll see what happens
