Hello,
I recently happened upon a collectable ceramic bust that I believe is of one of the fox sisters from the early spiritualist movement of the 20th century. I am wondering if anyone has seen anything like this before or might have any more information for me. I have attached pictures.
The bust is about six inches high and "Kate Fox" is carved into the base. It looks as if her death date and/or birthday may be carved across the bottom too!
Like I said, I really can't find information on this thing anywhere. Please help if you can.

Is anything on the bottom ? What kind of information are you looking for ?? Seems they were a bunch of rip-off artists !!
-
That they were...but they are still renowned. Most likely a tourist item.

I must use caution here and advise you....just because you can't find another one...does not mean it is valuable!!!!

Whoever made the bust gave her a nose job !!

Pretty specialized for a tourist trinket!
-
Nothing on the bottom... This is just a really neat find and I'd love to find someone who has seen/ has knowledge of this trinket. I'm sure it's not valuable really...
-
I have not found anything in reference to it !!
-
I'm wondering if it could be an old tourist item from the Lily Dale Spiritualist community in NY...

Could be try contacting them.
