Title: figurines with unknown mark
Post by: kimb on August 21, 2012, 11:29:33 AM
Hello! I was hoping someone could help me identify the markings on the bottom of these figures I have. I was told they were antiques, but I have my doubts. And I can't determine the language of the markings, it seems Asian but I can't read it.

no, they were amongst my husband's mother's things. he said she insisted they were antiques and/or valuable, whereas I believe they can be donated to value village.

I have lots of those, maybe a dozen or so, they are or look like to me Artensaniz Rinconada Ceraminc Figurines from Uruguay. They usually average in the price range of about $15 depending on the figurine. Some can go upwards in the range of about $60.

See the following link...

Thanks wendy177! I recognized them right away. I've picked those up at the thrift store a few times usually for about $2 to $3 each.
