While sorting product at work yesterday I came across a old pair of Levi's jeans. The strange thing is they have a orange colored diamond shaped label on the back right pocket. It reminds me of the guess jeans label in a way. I have spent a few hours trying to figure out if these are real or rare or what. I have hit a dead end and was wondering if you wonderful people had any info on these. I am wondering if they were made for export? I apologize for no pictures my boss took them home for a little tlc before they hit ebay later this week.
Oh and so far everything that we know they seem legit. The tab is written in all caps and the rivets and stitching seem right. Just that darn label has me concerned.
I will try and check in from work and maybe she brought them back and we can post a few picts.

There are LOTS of knockoffs out there....so be careful in resale!
DID YOU KNOW...that Levi's actually has a section set up for people to find values of their vintage jeans? Ehow was kind enough to note it on their site:

I can't see buying those jeans for over $17,600. I could think of so many other things I would rather have.

They were probably made in China..anyway....al most all of the fakes in the world are made there....

If you could afford 17K for a pair of jeans, you more than likely already have everything else you need ;)

True, but it wouldn't be my thing.

But if you were curator of a museum on the gold rush, how cool would it be to have them on display in your museum?

I could definitely see that! ;D Now that's a great idea. I didn't think of that. At one point I thought you could use them for a scarecrow, lol. That's what they look like.
