I'm stumped in finding these...spent many hours to no avail.
Maybe bakelite? but I'm not sure.
Anyone have an idea?
Possible make?

To test for bakelite buy some simichrome polish (it is a metal polish) but safe to test with, put a small amount on a white cotton cloth it is very light pink in color, rub on the piece in question if the pink paste turns the cloth & paste a yellow tobacco color you have bakelite, if it stays pink you do not.

Awesome info Wendy! I sold a 1930s Bakelite radio a few months back and didnt realize that was why it was coming off discolored onto my cloth when I was polishing it... I makes complete sense...
