A client brought in a necklace with documentations Certificate of Gem and Jade Identification. I have never heard of this. But she claims that this IGS organization is well known in China and items certified by this organization are very expensive. I am attaching photos I hope you guys can help.

I have been around the world and back again...but can,t find any IGS Organization.there, are IGS O, but most of them are to do with GPS....I,ve done an advanced in Chinese...but to no avail....on closer inspection, this "jade" looks a bit like soap stone....

Is that silver piece In the last photo a barrel clasp??
-
This IGS has nothing to do with the certification...the website...www.gdgig .com,is the Jade specialists... no wonder i could,nt find anything under IGS

OK So I inspected the necklace closer and I think it is a jade, however, I am not sure what the black beads are. Does jade come in black? The clasp doesnt seem to be silver, it is a barrel clasp. Does anyone read chinese? What does this document mean? What does it say?

Do we look as if we read Chinese....you had to think there did,nt you....if you have a scanner you can scan it.then transfer it to a free online translation company..and get it translated...or you could do what i did last year...when i got a 2 part version of John Woo,s ..Red Cliff.....it was all in Chinese..I took it to my local Chinese take-away...and got one of the guys in there to translate it.....
