Mart, Don't forget the shipping costs. They are more than the selling price.

Its been like this Mart for the past 2/3 years...good quality furniture.what we call brown furniture just is,nt selling...and some of the bigger items like Victorian double wardrobes...that 15 years ago were fetching good money....are now no better than firewood...nobody wants it...the younger people are going minimalistic,....in 1977 i worked for an American company...Sedco..an d there was a Driller on the rig i was on...and he filled a 40ft container of good quality antique furniture...bought from local auctions in and around Dundee...the container was supplied by the company...and he filled it,for less than a weeks wages...and had it shipped over to Kalamazoo Wyoming....and its like that now....i went to the skips this morning...and the stuff that people are dumping is enough to make you weep,...and its getting worse....now that the price of grain from the US has almost doubled....due to bad harvests...and our own crops of spuds are rotting in the fields due to the amount of rain we,ve had this year...we have only had 15 days, this year whereby the temp was above 24deg,...and there was snow on the hills last weekend...

bigwull, some interesting items at a good price there... was the napoleon metal bust made of solid bronze, signed and what would you date it? What was in the glass china cabinet or curio to the left of the bureau, any nice vintage english, german or danish figurines or crystal hallmarked and signed?
