Title: Having a yard sale....
Post by: greenacres on September 04, 2012, 07:47:10 PM
I'm having a yard sale finally! I've wanted to do this while. It's call get rid of 'STUFF' day. I was ging to ask $20.00 for this set. The caniter says "Instant Coffee". The teapot has a chip at the end of the spot. It looks like Glycee over decal. It has no markings on the bottom. I figured I start high and go from there. Where would you start?

Your strategy seems like a good one. Then you can come down a little bit if necessary.

bad about the chip !!  the moss rose pattern would date this set to 40`s or 50`s !!  it has a good collector base around here !! it was inexpensive stuff and most is not marked and could be bought in Woolworths and other store types like that !! people like it here so i think $20. is what it would bring,,more without that chip !!

It's common to find chips on teapot spouts. Nothing unusual.

But, I would think it does change the value unforunately.

I gettting rid of a ton of costume jewelry. I would buy lots for a few things and then be stuck with the rest. OUT! ;D I'm purging, lol
