Title: Turn mold wine bottle.
Post by: ANCIENTONE on September 07, 2012, 08:59:47 AM
Probably from around 1900. I have a couple of questions...  Is it possible to find out the name? and would you clean?  The bottle is very dirty inside and I don't want to damage the label if it is worth anything.

You would have to tumble the bottle. There's a machine called a tumbler.

Well, the next time you get served a wine that is,nt particularly nice...you,ll know what it is....Plonk!.....in Germany...a favourite drink of much cheapness is 2lts of cheap red plonk.which can be bought for 75c a lt,..equal amount of fat Coca cola or Pepsi....pour into 5lt water container...give mixture a good shake...then pour into 1pt glass...and enjoy....It does,nt half get you sozzled very quickly...and also makes sure you have good bowel movement....the Germans call it Korea....probably because it rhymes with Diarrhoea..... ;D ;D

This is where, my Scottish English and your Americanised version of English begs for a translation....Fat Coke...is the opposite from Skinny Coke...which is also known as Diet Coke...Fat Pepsi...is what Sapphire drinks gallons of....Me on other other hand, I drink Pepsi Max...which, according to Sapphire..is,nt real Pepsi.. is Skinny or Diet....cause i,m diabetic.....Flat Coke....is whats been left for hours and all the zing as gone out of it.... :D

LOL!....i did,nt mean a gallon at a time...but...but spread it over a week or two....and it soon mounts up......and i,ll have to remember....its Robust.....which is brawny & vigorous when it comes to Plonk....which when mixed with a Robust Pepsi....becomes... .mmm!! ;D
