Title: Yard Sale Find

Ok, I found this at a yard sale last week. I believe it to be pewter, but a friend of mine says it is coated copper.
It looks hand made and the handle appears to be brass. Can anyone tell me anything about this? Is it worth anything or is it just junk.

From the picture/s I cannot guess.  They have had so many companies mass import items and Home Decor groups that have made so many items comparable to this.

finally can see the whole thing !!  looks like tin lined brass !!  many countries make this type item !!
