This isn't an "antique" question, but you all are so "worldly" - in a good way! 

Do any of you know if this is a real statue or simply a Hollywood creation. 

A good friend of mine (who mentors me with my stained glass work), is wanting to create the gargoyle half of the statue but we need the feet of the statue!

I know it was used in a movie May of 2009 Angels & Demons with Tom Hanks but not sure if it is a real statue. Thanks, Wendy!  Peggy will love it!  She has some very special glass picked out to use in this piece (and she is so talented she makes me sick  ;)).

Actually no, hadn't heard of shortening ones, frogpatch!  I personally haven't posted some links in the past because they were so doggone long like this one.  Going to go search this out.....
