Hi... Our downstairs neighbor passed away a few weeks ago and when looking through some things his family gave us we found a love spoon... It is quite intricate and has three balls inside the handle and has a 5 link chain on the top with a padlock on the end (i would add a pic but im on a mobile)... We dont know anything about it really and were wondering if they are valuable at all?

Would love to see a pic. Love spoons were typically Welsh in origin. The caged/moving balls in the handle are very intricate and nice on these spoons.

Ive been sat all night trying to upload a photo and it just flat out wont work...sorry... Any idea if they are generally worth anything?

Niki, you could also upload to a photo site, such as Photobucket then paste here.
Would be very interesting to see your spoon and compare it to this list of symbol meanings.

I,ve just done that and a pic has come in but it won,t upload...all i got was this
love spoon.aspx.
You cannot upload that type of file. The only allowed extensions are doc,gif,jpg,mpg,pdf,png,txt

What is your spoon made of?
Are there any makers' marks on the back side or any where.
