Title: Carved Wood Frame/Door

Hello everyone, first post here.  I've been trying to figure out what this is and where it came from for about the past week.  The person we got it from didn't know too much about it other than he thought it was early to mid 1800s based on the square nails and hardware used.  He was guessing possibly Moroccan but no other idea from that.

Some suggestions I've heard from other people were indian window frames, serving hatch, eastern european confessional doors, cabinet front.

As you can see in the gallery there is only one ornate side which has the only handle.  The door section rotates inward which eliminates a few of the above suggestions.  I'm leaning towards a window frame or serving hatch but the handle placement doesn't make sense for either.

Thanks for the help!

Here are the individual links, probably too many to safely embed for everyone.  I can always do that later if you still have issues, thanks!

Where are you located?

Of all of the solutions you listed above, I'm leaning towards European.

I think it's an American Victorian piece with Renaissance Revival and strong Aesthetic influences ca. 1880, probably from the NE U.S.

American Victorian does look like it could be it.  Still not sure what it could be with a door that moves inward.

It looks like it may be from a confessional in an old church. I say that because it only opens from the inside. Just a guess.
