Title: I have a problem with a ring need help...

i have a ring...ring is made of 8 karat gold and has stone i don't know is it gemstone or zircon...but ring doesn't have mark of a 8 karat gold 333...he's marked with 3 letters...GAM and has a little mark next to the GAM mark...it's like a little umbrella...what that means i just know that ring is older than 40-50 years...

confusion will be my epitaph...again,   ...with one breath you say its 8kt,..but go on to say it does,nt...which is it...yes it does/no it does,nt....and 8kt...is one that i,ve never heard of over here that is...usually we have 9ct,18ct,  22ct...24ct, or internationally...1 4k 20k.....but as ghopper says...we need a visual.....
