another iteam that was found in the loft

has no markings atall just a number 229 on bottom

Looks like Art Noveau,...made of Spelter...

I agree with that !!  Is it pretty heavy ?? Could also be aluminum !! It was used a lot during that period !!

Its just a shame that it has that damage to the edge...looks like the stem of the flower has been snapped off,

Agree  art noveau.  Also agree shame about the stem...and the chunk out of the front that looks like it was bit off.

But still a keeper!!!

If as I suspect..that it  is Spelter,it can be coated in a patina...to give  the appearance of bronze...
