Title: Antique "Dog" Chair

I have an Antique upholstered chair that has carved wooden dog heads on the chair arms. Also has footstool.
I know it is quite old as it was my Mothers fathers chair and she just died at age 71.
I you would like me to post a pic, I can.
Am wondering if I sell it, would anyone know the value?
It IS unusual, its just not my taste.
