I have some glass fruit that is about 100 years old made by Trimont Ware. I cant find anything about them on google searches, any info about they would be great(value, or anything else helpful about them) Thanks for the help!

What makes you think they are 100 years old !! Can you take a good pic of that label on them !! How do you know they are glass ?? They look identical to what we had in the 70`s !!

They were my great-great grandparents, so that dates them. here is a picture of the lable

EDIT: Dont know if they are porcelain or glass, if you know how I can tell the difference, please let me know
Thanks!

They could be around 50 years old, really anywhere from 50 to 100 years old would be my best guess(still not 100% sure)
Thanks!

anything that is made of porcelain,glass,china..etc...will have a ring when lightly tapped...with a metal object....if the pieces of fruit are solid..they will have a dull ring....porcelain will have a higher pitched sound....

my best guess is that they ate porcelain China glass etc(defiantly appeared to be a light ring). They are defiantly hollow. Thanks!

The fruit is ceramic from the 50's.
-
Just the word Japan Dates these to early mid century at best.
-
Betting it is from the 50's. Fake//pottery fruit was very popular during that time! Also, Trimont imported alot during the 50's.
-
Right on, ..... Ironlord.
I would guess post-1970.
-
or from now....

Although we have found similar pieces dating from the 70,s onwards, what i think we need to know..is,.when did Jeff550,s ...great,great grandparents get the pieces,he now has....?
-
Wendy, I was just guessing based on their "looks". ;D
It takes some pretty sofisticated equipment to "mass produce" a quality item such as that.
-
Half right isn't all bad, lol ;D
-
THe "Key" is Trimont Ware! You know......the little label on the fruit......gold and black......They imported in 50's to 60's!!!!

We had the same fruit as a centerpiece in early 70`s !! So his timeline of 50 years is about right !! 1950 to 1970 !! This company imported a lot of ceramic ware !!
-
So, the general conclusion seems to be that its from the 1950's-1970's. I take it the value would be fairly low, about $15-20
Thanks for the help y'all!

If you are going to sell on ebay,, I would hit some thrift stores and find a vintage basket or bowl to put them in !! Even an inexpensive silverplate as long as it has a vintage look !! People tend to buy if its already complete and they can just use it as is !! Selling the fruit alone,, if they don`t have something to put them in,, they would have to buy one !! It saves shopping !! Just my experience that something that is complete does better !! Of course ebay is a crap shoot what ever you decide to do !!
